Improve Assessment Process

Inter-est has launched a new, enhanced version of Vision, the online methods-based estimating system. The extended functionality includes a WIndows-look interface, an enhanced DVLA look-up facility, improved communications resiliance and more imaging features.

 

 

Stanners UHSS Drill

 
With the increase in exotic materials and high strength steels in vehicle technology, you need a drill that can cope. Stanners’ new Spot Weld Drill is designed to deal specifically with ultra high strength steels (UHSS). The tungsten carbide drill head, which has a PVD coating, can drill up to 120 UHSS spot welds, significantly more than its competitor products claim Stanners.

 

Once the drill head is too worn to drill through UHSS, it can be used on standard steels. In tests it has proved it can make up to 1000 spot welds in normal steels after use on UHSS. The drill bits are available in two different diameters, 10mm and 8mm.

Time Saver for Refinishers

Spies Hecker has transformed its web based colour search making it more advanced and easier to use. Refinishers are now able to view the colour they are looking for during their search. Along with the visual display of a colour, details of all variants can also be called up. Refinishers can also choose to have the formula as ready-for-use mixed paint for faster overall mixing. All selected formulas (colour-only or ready-for-use) can be imported at the click of a mouse into the CRplus colour software and stored in the bodyshop’s own formula database. The formula can then be sent straight to the PC scales for easier and more accurate mixing.
